The 12 Days of Arts

Darlington’s annual Fall for the Arts is just around the corner and this year we will celebrate the arts during the first 12 days of October. The festivities will culminate with a celebration at our annual festival on Friday, Oct. 12.

There are many events and activities that will take place on campus for all students during the “Twelve Days of Arts.” All of these experiences will enhance the opportunities provided in media, performing and visual arts.

The arts are such a huge part of the student experience at Darlington and an important piece of the curriculum of the school. This summer our visual art and music teachers worked on the areas of curriculum for these disciplines and wanted to be strategic in broadening the experiences that we provide for our students in and out of the classroom. Fall for the Arts 2018 is an opportunity for this to happen in all areas of fine arts and for us to showcase our students and to bring experiences to them that only expand upon the mission of our school, to empower students  to learn with passion, act with integrity and serve with respect.

I hope everyone will stay posted and aware of the many things going on these next few weeks and find a way to connect to something new or build upon an interest that is already present. The school’s announcements page will keep everyone informed of the happenings on campus. I am very excited for this year and look forward to a busy and productive few weeks!
