Darlington Connects: Quincy Price (’07)

We're excited to connect with our alumni through our new Darlington Connects series. Today we hear from Quincy Price (’07) about his career with Disney Corporation.

Quincy currently works as guest service manager in costuming at Magic Kingdom Park in Walt Disney World. He manages a large team of cast members covering the entire park.

“It’s my job to assist Mickey and Minnie and all their friends!” he said.

Quincy was a four-year boarding student at Darlington who was very involved in fine arts and served in the House Senate. He went on to study musical theater at Samford University in Birmingham. He left school for The Disney College Program and stayed in Orlando to begin his career with Walt Disney World. Quincy has held several roles in his career with the company and enjoys his current role keeping the cast members' needs met throughout Magic Kingdom Park.

“There is not a day I don’t look forward to getting up and going to work," he said.

“My Darlington experience has impacted my entire life," said Quincy. "Darlington is such a school of the world that I had the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world with different backgrounds. I use those experiences every day at Walt Disney World because I literally work with people from all over the world and every walk of life. I met a guy at Disney from Korea recently and I was able to say that my roommate my freshman year at Darlington was from Korea; not many people can say that!”

Much like all of us, the global pandemic has affected Walt Disney World and Quincy, but the park reopened this week and he looks forward to returning to the park soon to see Mickey and Minnie and all their friends.
