The Smith Smarties pre-K students presented a Veterans Day service to the Darlington Community via Facebook Live. They led the Pledge of Allegiance, sang patriotic songs, and placed wreaths around a replica of the Tomb of the Known Soldier which is located in Rome's Myrtle Hill Cemetery. After giving Al Shorey, Upper School math teacher and Army veteran, a round of fistbumps, the students stood to attention while Damon Harvey, band director, played "Taps." The ceremony concluded with each student thanking our veterans for their service to our country.
