Mrs. Boling's 6th-grade advisory group had an amazing time on Dot Day! In the morning, they read books and assisted the kindergartners as they completed a science activity with Mrs. Deaton's kindergarten class. In the afternoon, they visited the Ruth and Naomi House to participate in community service. While there, the girls helped with yard work, gardening, organizing supplies, re-organizing the library, sanitizing and organizing toys in the play room, and other household chores. They shared cards of encouragement which they had created for the residents, and they donated and arranged flowers for each family to have in their room. Dot Day was the perfect time to celebrate Service Beyond Self.
