The youngest additions to Darlington's band program are happy to have instruments in their hands. They have been busy learning how to assemble and hold their instruments, breathing and making their first sounds, reading notation and rhythm, practicing routines and even a few fingerings. Students at Darlington can start learning a band instrument any time between fourth and eighth, but their first opportunity is in the fourth grade. These brave students are off to a great start on their journey to become music performers. They are an enthusiastic group, and this young band will be rocking in no time.
