Residential Programming: Boys Life/Girls Life

November 10, 2020 | 215 views

The residential students had another session of Boys Life/Girls Life programming Monday, Nov. 9 before study hall.

The ninth grade girls focused on defining friendship and identifying what a good friend means to them. The ninth and tenth grade boys worked with the Zazzaro's on room organizing and how to create "zones" in their rooms and on their desk. The tenth and eleventh grade girls participated in Color A Smile which allowed them to color pictures that are sent to people across the country that may need a colorful warm gesture during times like we are living. The eleventh grade boys focused on leadership and leadership within a team. This will be important for them next semester when they start to consider leadership roles for their senior year. The senior girls had a tea party with a discussion about college. Lastly, Mr. Eady helped the senior boys create paracord survival bracelets for Operation Gratitude, an organization that provides care packages to our First Responders and Troops.

Some sessions were designed to help students think beyond their experience and consider the experience of others. Some were designed for students to look within and consider their own path. Hopefully they all gained something from those tens of minutes as they stopped and focused on something outside of their busy schedules and lives.
