UPPER SCHOOL LEARNING CENTER

At Darlington, we embrace the different learning styles that help our students achieve their goals. Nearly one in six students in grades 9 to 12 is served by the Glenn Teaching and Learning Center; and this personalized, professional guidance is available to students with diagnosed learning differences at no additional cost.

You benefit from a one-on-one relationship with a learning specialist who works with you and your teachers to develop customized learning plans. From everyday study to plans for college transition, the Learning Center team can coach you on note-taking, test preparation, and skills to help you be successful the way you learn best.

Learning Center benefits:

Access to full-time coaches in writing, math, college preparation and more
Daily graded class period devoted to academic coaching
Focused time for goal-setting, accountability and self-advocacy
Testing accommodations for regular course tests, SAT, ACT and AP exams
Coordination of free in-house peer tutoring or fee-based outside tutoring
Assistive technology including apps, Reader Pen and Smart Pens
