In this episode, Director of Alumni Relations Vicki Vincent talks with Jim Dent ('77, LD '19) about the impact Darlington has had on his life, his winding career path and his current work in medical missions with Mercy Ships.
Vicki Vincent first joined the Advancement Office in 1995. Since then, she has held a variety of different roles including class agent officer and director of alumni relations. She is responsible for the development and management of alumni programs for Darlington, including the Alumni Council, the Class Agent Program and special events like Alumni Weekend.
Jim Dent ('77, LD '19) was a seven-year day student from Rome. After graduation, he earned his undergraduate degree at the University of Georgia and went on to obtain an MBA from Kennesaw State University. Dent spent his early career working in sales and marketing, some of which was spent with NASCAR, before transitioning to the banking world. He currently lives on a ship in international waters doing medical mission work as a chaplain with Mercy Ships.
