The first-grade class recently honored the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. at the annual 1st Grade Freedom Tea. The students spent January learning all about Dr. King's life and how he changed our country. At this event, they performed a timeline of his life, read their own “I Have a Dream" speeches, and presented another member of the class with their own Nobel Peace Prize for their character.
