Beth Smith ’87, LD ’12

Pre-Kindergarten Teacher, Pre-K to 8

Beth (’87) has taught at the Lower School since 1994. She holds a B.S.in Elementary Education and an M.Ed. in Learning Disabilities from Auburn University and has three decades of experience in the classroom. She taught special education for two years in Rome City Schools before coming to Darlington. During her tenure at Darlington, she has been recognized with the Beachum Master Teaching Award and Brown Faculty Award. She and her husband, Scott, are the parents of Bailey (’15), Avery (’17) and Anne Scott (’20).
