Steve McConnell

Third Grade Teacher

Steve has taught third grade at Darlington since 2010. He holds a B.A. in English from Appalachian State University, and an M.Ed. from the University of South Carolina. He has served for more than 30 years as a teacher, administrator, and coach. His experience in education covers the collegiate level and independent schools. He currently serves as the Assistant Coach for both the Darlington middle school girls’ basketball and middle school boys’ baseball teams. During his time at Darlington, he has been recognized with the Brown Faculty Award and two Tiger Pride Excellence in Teaching Awards. He and his wife, Marcia, are the parents of Zack (’13) and Matthew (’17).
