Julia Houston has served as learning specialist for grades pre-K to 2 since 2022. She holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from Shorter College, an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from Berry College, an Ed.S. from the University of West Georgia and a Doctorate from Liberty University. Her certifications include Georgia Teacher Certificate T-6, Reading Endorsement, Special Education (General Curriculum) and Dyslexia Endorsement. Houston also recently completed the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education’s Comprehensive IMSE Orton-Gillingham Training. She has 32 years of experience in education, serving most recently as special education resource teacher at Alto Park Elementary School.
