Over the past six months, an Adventure Sports curriculum has been developed that will hopefully ignite in Middle School students a lifelong passion for adventure sports and being outdoors.
This year, 16 students in grades 7 and 8 are enrolled in the course. They will be taught and graded on a large variety of skills required in adventure sports, such as camping and hiking, knot tying, canoeing, mountain biking, survival techniques, and wilderness first aid, to name a few. These students will also have the chance to use some of these skills during off-campus trips.
More to come...
