Students Take on CRBI Adventure Race

After finishing a three-week unit on adventure races, including mountain biking, canoeing, trail running and mystery events, members of the Middle School Adventure Sports Class decided to put their knowledge to work by competing in a real-life adventure race here in Rome. And they talked Middle School Director Dr. James Hutchins into joining them!

Eighth-grader Steven Cox and seventh-grader Jake Womack competed with Dr. Hutchins in the Seven Hills - Three Rivers Adventure Race on Saturday, Sept. 24, to benefit the Coosa River Basin Initiative. Wading through mud and swamp land, running, biking and paddling, the boys and Dr. Hutchins ruined perfectly good clothes together! Well done, gentlemen!
