Four named to All-Area First Team, Evans is Co-Player of the Year

Four varsity basketball players received a nod for All-Area, with Lindsay Evans earning Co-Player of the Year honors. The Darlington Lady Tigers were also named Co-Team of the Year, along with the Model Lady Blue Devils and the Rome High Lady Wolves.

Evans is making her fourth-straight appearance on the All-Area First Team, and is earning her second consecutive selection as the Rome News-Tribune's Co-Player of the Year. She started 115 games in her career and scored 1,515 points. This season, she helped lead the Lady Tigers to the Elite Eight by averaging 11 points, eight rebounds, five assists and four steals. She is the daughter of Candi and Kevin Evans of Rome. Evans shares Co-Player of the Year with Rome's Vannessa Calhoun and Model's Timia Reynolds.  

Maggie Beth Atha, a sophomore, is making her second-straight appearance on the All-Area First Team. She averaged nine points, five rebounds, and three assists per game this year. She is the daughter of Cathe and Tommy Atha of Rome.

Terar Stewart, a junior, led the Lady Tigers in scoring and rebounding by averaging 15 points and nine rebounds per game. This is her third-straight selection to the All-Area First Team. She is the daughter of Nikki and Andre Stewart of Rome.

Cam Collins, a senior, is among the best pure shooters in the area. The senior averaged 20 points and nine rebounds per game to earn back-to-back spots on the All-Area First Team. He is the son of Rozanne and Forrest Collins of Calhoun, Ga.

On the girls' side, junior Bailey Brock made the Second Team roster while an Honorable Mention went to junior Sidney Stout.
