The Soccer Academy U16 and U19 Boys' teams went undefeated at the Capital Area Soccer League (CASL) showcase in Raleigh, N.C., last weekend.
"I am proud of the boys' performances," said Kevin Ray, director of operations for the Soccer Academy. "Going undefeated at one of the top showcases in the country is huge. They got lots of exposure and represented themselves and Darlington well."
The U19s defeated Annandale United 96 (4-1) and Kentucky Fire (1-0) before tying Dixie Athletics 97 Black (2-2).
The U16s tied Weston FC (0-0) before defeating PWSI Courage (5-2) and FC United (6-0).
"It's been a great month for the Soccer Academy," said Chad Liddle. "We are very excited that all of our teams, both girls and boys, went two wins and a tie at CASL. Our whole program is undefeated at CASL, which ensures the kids from next year to get into this prestigious event. Well over 100 college coaches attend this tournament and we're already setting up official visits for a number of our players with programs like Oregon State University, Northern Kentucky, Cincinnati, Marshall University, Longwood and the University of Tampa. We've got some really neat things going for our kids."
