Over the weekend, Darlington swept the 2015 GISA Middle School State Championship Tournament winning first place with four state champions, two runners-up, and two third-place finishers.
The meet took place on Saturday at Trinity Christian School in Dublin, Ga. At last year's championship, Darlington's Middle School wrestling team came home as first runner-up.
Highlights of the meet included strong performances by seventh-graders Bryant Busby and Dawson Williams, and eighth-grader Colin Zazzaro in their respective finals matches.
Eighth-grader Rhett McDurmon defeated the reigning Team Georgia wrestler in 35 seconds by pin, earning McDurmon's second consecutive state championship title.
