Jennifer Bagby recently joined the Darlington Community as assistant director of day admission for pre-K to 5. As the wife of Tiger alum Tripp Bagby (‘91), she is no stranger to the school and looks forward to serving Darlington in this new capacity.

“My husband introduced me to the Darlington Community, but I fell in love with the school when my children started attending,” said Bagby. “My husband and his family are all alumni, but I’ve always known that I wanted to be more than just a parent. I believe in the school and the values that are taught here.”

Bagby is looking forward to personally connecting with families who are considering a Darlington education for their children.

“I have an education background and have worked in both private and public settings. I have also done administrative type work, but my favorite part of any position that I’ve held is meeting and getting to know people,” continued Bagby. “I’m really looking forward to showing families how great Darlington really is.”

Bagby holds a B.S. in Sociology from Shorter College and has spent the last eight years as director of Garden Lakes Baptist Church Preschool. She is also a member of the Junior Service League of Rome and has served on the executive board and as president and vice president.

“I look forward to being a part of the whole school environment. I love that we are all working together with the same ultimate goal in giving children the best education that will not only prepare them for college but for life,” Bagby said. “Darlington exposes students to life experiences from the very first day of pre-K all the way through to graduation.

“I have loved being involved at Darlington for a long time and look forward to working with the great faculty and parents." she continued. "This is a special place like no other that truly loves each other as a family."

Bagby and her husband are deeply involved in the lives of their sons, Will (‘22) and Chandler (‘25), and enjoy cheering them on in whatever sport that they are involved in at the time.
