Our Meet the Alumni Council series allows the personalities of our alumni volunteers shine through. The Darlington Community is fortunate to have such a strong group of alumni willing to share their time and talents to better our school!

Chrissy Robertson (’94, LD ’16) lives and works in Atlanta. She is First Vice President in Credit Risk Review with Truist Bank. Chrissy is a former class agent and was a presenter at this year’s Career Day.

Let’s get to know Chrissy in today’s installment of our Meet the Alumni Council series:

Where did you grow up?

Calhoun, Ga.

How long have you served on the Alumni Council?

I believe this is my third year. I’ve enjoyed every minute.

Tell us a little about your family:

Christian and I have two miniature schnauzers, Dex and Luc. They’re very spoiled and currently snoring behind me while I work from home. They’ll let me know when it’s noon and time for a walk.

What music is playing in your car?

I have eclectic music tastes ranging from Luke Bryan to Duran Duran and Aerosmith.

What's your favorite podcast?

No Ego or David Cooper.

Who was your favorite teacher at Darlington (and why)?

Sam Moss. I decided to switch universities during summer after graduation. He took care of everything and I just had to show up.

What's your favorite movie?

Currently Downton Abbey. All time favorite is Pride & Prejudice

My favorite trip was...

Any adventure with my best friend. Napa and San Francisco would be my favorite.

If I could travel anywhere it would be....

Scotland since my ancestry results show I am 97% Scottish.

My favorite Darlington memory is...

sending a letter to Senator Sam Nunn in Government class and getting a handwritten response.

Last book I read for fun was....

Rachel Hollis, "Girl Wash Your Face", or Mary Kay Andrews, "Christmas Bliss"

Beach or Mountains?

Both

E-book or Hardcover?

If traveling, e-book. Although I still sometimes buy a hardcover if I plan to keep the book.

Four people I'd like to take to coffee...

Pat Summit, Princess Diana, Warren Buffet, and Gordon Ramsey.

The best advice I ever received was...

Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.

My hobby is...

Yoga, reading, and cooking. I wish I would have gone to culinary school instead of MBA. Maybe second career one day!

Cats or dogs?

Dogs. When we volunteer at Best Friends, the cats seem to know I prefer dogs.

When I want to crush karaoke, my song is...

"I Love Rock n Roll"

My favorite saying is...

In the end we only regret the chances we didn’t take.

What I like most about Darlington is...

Darlington is a beautiful environment to nurture the whole student- academics, values, sports, and arts. Teachers truly care about their students and have passion for their work.
