Pre-K to 2 Holiday Festival Performances

Hello and happy holidays from myself and our Pre-K to second graders!  Though this year has had many new challenges, our students have worked as hard as ever to be able to perform a holiday concert for their family and friends.  Even though we can’t get together in person this year, I’m happy to present these three songs that our students have spent so much time on.

First, we have a joint performance of “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” by Johnny Marks with all four classes in the Ledbetter Commons of Thatcher Hall. This is a fun traditional piece that the kids have had a lot of fun learning.

Next up, the Smith Smarties and Deaton Darlings joined forces to sing and dance to “I Want to be an Elf” by Teresa Jennings. This song has a lot of motions to learn, and these sweet kids did an excellent job!

Finally, the Peer Pirates, Jordan Jewels, and Massey Magicians teamed up to learn a new language in order to present “A Song of Peace” by Teresa Jennings. This song is about how we wish there was a magic song that everyone could come together and sing in order to bring peace to everyone. These students have diligently labored over the sign language in this piece and have done an amazing job!
