Welcome to Episode 53 of The Darlington Podcast!
In this episode, Assistant Director of Boarding Admissions Avery Cypress talks with Upper School science teachers Mike Hudson and Jaclyn Haynes and sophomore Isabella Spears about the DarFarm. Cypress talks with Hudson, Haynes and Spears about DarFarm activities, opportunities to get involved and the 7th Annual Spring Plant Sale that will run through the month of April.
Avery Cypress ('14, LD '20) has served as assistant director of boarding admission since 2019. Cypress also serves as assistant coach on the boys' and girls' varsity tennis and cross country teams. He holds a B.A. in International Studies and Spanish from Queens University of Charlotte in Charlotte, N.C.
Mike Hudson (’94, LD '18) has taught science at Darlington since 2008 and has coached both swimming and cross country. He holds a B.S. in Biology from Georgia Tech and an M.S. in Biology from the University of West Georgia.
Jaclyn Haynes has served as Upper School chemistry and environmental science teacher since 2019. She holds a B.S. in Biology from Georgia College and State University in Milledgeville, Ga., and Master of Education in Educational Technology from Lesley University in Cambridge, Mass. She has also completed graduate-level gifted coursework at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, Ala.
