November 17, 2022 | 533 views

Welcome to Episode 84 of The Darlington Podcast!

In this episode, Cassidy Carter, director of development in the Advancement Office, talks with Mark Rogers ('94, LD '12), deputy general counsel at Mohawk Industries. They chat about Rogers' career, from serving the military to practicing law. He offers career and life advice that he shared with Darlington students at Career Day 2022, and talks about how his Darlington experience shaped his path as an adult.

Cassidy Carter has served as director of development in the Advancement Office since 2022. She holds a B.S. in Health Promotions from the University of Georgia and has 15 years of experience working in development for nonprofits. She has spent the last 11 years with Floyd Healthcare Foundation, where she served as donor relations coordinator, annual gifts coordinator and, most recently, development officer. A graduate of Leadership Rome and soon-to-be graduate of Leadership Georgia, Carter is also a former commissioner for the Georgia Commission for Community Service and Volunteerism.

Mark Rogers serves as the deputy general counsel for Mohawk Industries. At Darlington, he was a six-year day student and was involved in band, the Jabberwokk yearbook staff and played on the soccer team. After graduating, he attended the University of Virginia, where he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He graduated as a 2nd Lieutenant, and served in the Army for four years as an armor officer. Following his military service, he attended law school at Emory University and has been practicing law for over 15 years. Rogers also serves on the Darlington Alumni Council.
