In this episode, Head of School Brent Bell talks with Dean of Student Life Brant Evans, Director of Athletics Eddie Guth and Director of Fine Arts Kim Tunnell. Together, they recap the 2023 calendar year, sharing accomplishments within their departments, noteworthy moments and favorite memories from the year at Darlington.
Brent Bell was named Darlington's 11th head of school in 2014. With two decades of experience in education, he holds a B.A. in History from the University of Richmond and an M.S. in Education from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Brant Evans came to Darlington in 2008 and currently serves as dean of student life at the Upper School. Brant holds a B.A. in History and an M.Ed. in Social Sciences from the University of Georgia.
Eddie Guth has served as athletic director since 2015. He holds a B.A. in Communications from Rhodes College and has over 30 years of experience in independent school education and athletics.
Kim Tunnell, who has been a member of Darlington’s fine arts faculty since 2001, has over two decades of experience in the classroom. She taught music and chorus classes in the lower and middle grades before being named director of fine arts in 2009. She holds a B.M. and B.M.E. from Shorter College and an M.M.E. from the State University of West Georgia.
