This summer, Upper School history teacher John Hintermaier, English teacher Jennifer Kelley, Spanish teacher Carmen Gonzalez, Assistant Director of Upper School Brant Evans and Assistant Head of School for Academic Affairs Stefan Eady will join over 10,000 college faculty and AP teachers from around the world in evaluating and scoring approximately 10 million free-response answers on AP Exams for The College Board.

"Advanced Placement courses represent some of our most rigorous curriculum," said Eady. "Having so many of our teachers participate in evaluating exam responses reflects their dedication to their subject and also gives them and their students an advantage in their classes. After receiving specialized training, evaluating hundreds of responses, and exchanging expertise and resources with teachers from all over the world, these teachers bring back insights and best practices to their classrooms and fellow teachers. All of this helps Darlington continue to elevate the student experience and academic success."

AP Readers must currently teach the AP course for which they are evaluating exams in a face-to-face classroom setting and have at least three years of experience teaching that course. Hintermaier will grade AP World History: Modern exams, Kelley will grade AP English Literature exams, Gonzalez will grade AP Spanish Language exams, Evans will grade AP US Government and Politics Exams, and Eady will grade AP Computer Science A exams.
