In this episode, Director of Curriculum and Instruction Melissa Smyly talks with Technology Integration Coordinator Leah Lynn and Upper School Librarian Jordan West about the conferences and trainings they've attended this summer for their professional development.
Melissa Smyly has served as director of curriculum and instruction since 2024. Previously, she taught English at the Upper School since 2017 and served as head of the department. She also coaches cheerleading. Melissa holds a B.S. in Secondary Language Arts from Auburn University and an M.A. in Library Media Technology from the University of West Alabama.
Leah Lynn has served as technology integration coordinator since 2023. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Jacksonville State University, an M.S. in Education from Nova Southeastern University, and an Ed.S. from the University of West Georgia. Lynn has 15 years of experience in education.
Jordan West has served as Upper School librarian since 2022. She holds a B.A. in English from Truett McConnell University and an M.Ed. in School Library Media from the University of West Georgia.
