The Science Scholars Guild inducted 28 outstanding science students in a ceremony held Oct. 10 in Morris Chapel. The science department created this group to to celebrate students who reach far beyond the school’s minimum requirements for science education.
Inductees have completed or are currently enrolled in at least six science classes over their high school career, one of which can be an engineering or computer science elective. They have consistently demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm in the classroom and in lab or field experiences, while also heartily participating in science-based activities such as clubs, iPeriod leadership, tutoring, competitions, and field trips. Inductees must also receive recommendations from each of their science teachers.
New members include Femi Ajiboye, Lillian Baggett, Tom Bian, Bo Brooks, Jeremy Charles, Noah Duggan, Ansel Enverga, Luke Graham, Emma Hunt, Timmy King, Garrett Kizziah, Aryan Kochar, Nicky Lawrence, Daelyn Lee, Shuang Li, Larry Liang, Jiahao Luo, Anjola Morgan, Anna Nguyen, Linda Pan, Javin Pandya, Nixon Prior, Emily Richie, Alli Robinson, Natalia Sands, Bradley Sanker, Kines Smith and Jora Wu.
