Welcome to Episode 178 of The Darlington Podcast! 

In this episode, Director of IT Derek Fine talks with Technology Integration Coordinator Leah Lynn, second grade teacher Courtney Cescutti, middle grades science teacher Reilly Thomas and Upper School history teacher John Hintermaier about their use of artificial intelligence, also known as AI, in their classrooms to assist with teaching and enhance the learning experience of their students. 

Derek Fine joined Darlington in 2015 and now serves as director of information technology. He holds a B.A. in Business and Marketing from Clayton State University and a M.S. in Information Technology from Kennesaw State University.

Leah Lynn has served as technology integration coordinator since 2023. She holds a B.S. in Mathematics Education from Jacksonville State University, an M.S. in Education from Nova Southeastern University, and an Ed.S. from the University of West Georgia.

Courtney Cescutti has taught second grade since 2022. She holds a B.S. in Early Childhood Education from the University of West Georgia, T-4 Early Childhood Education certification, Mathematics Endorsement K-5, and Gifted Endorsement. During her time at Darlington, she has been recognized with the Brown Faculty Award.

Reilly Thomas has taught middle grades science in addition to working with robotics and athletics since 2023. She holds a B.S. in Biochemistry from Berry College, where she was also head resident assistant. 

John Hintermaier has taught history at the Upper School and served as an assistant coach for volleyball and lacrosse since 2023. He holds an A.B. in History and Political Science from Indiana Wesleyan University, an M.A. in Early Modern and Modern European History from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in British/Early Modern European History from Princeton University.
