Fourth-graders Rosie Bruce and Branch Connelley were chosen to represent Darlington School as this year's "Terrific Kids" for the Noon Optimist Club of Rome. This recognition honors students who demonstrate strong character, a positive attitude, and a commitment to being their best each day.
"Rosie exemplifies what it means to be a Terrific Kid through her quiet confidence, strong character, and commitment to growth," said fourth-grade teacher Dr. Michael Natarella. "She has made tremendous academic progress this year, driven by her desire to always do her best. Rosie approaches her learning with care; asking thoughtful, purposeful questions and taking direction seriously. She is a kind and loyal friend with a gentle sense of humor, consistently showing respect and inclusion toward others. Whether in the classroom or at play, Rosie demonstrates a willingness to participate and connect with her peers."
Bruce is a six-year day student from Rome, Ga. She is the daughter of Elizabeth and Justin Bruce.
"Branch truly embodies the qualities of a Terrific Kid through his kindness, character and positive attitude," said fourth-grade teacher Carrie Watterson. "He is known for being a wonderful friend to everyone around him, consistently showing inclusivity, empathy, and encouragement to his peers. Branch brings an energetic and uplifting spirit to our classroom community each day. Academically, he demonstrates strong effort and perseverance by asking thoughtful questions, staying actively engaged in lessons, and embracing challenges with confidence. Outside the classroom, Branch enjoys playing basketball and soccer, where he continues to model teamwork, sportsmanship, and enthusiasm."
Connelley is a six-year day student from Rome, Ga. He is the son of Susan and Christopher Connelley.
