As part of our recent study of weather, second-graders used canning jars to create rain cloud models. They filled the jars 3/4 full of water then filled the remainder of the jar with shaving cream. Next, they used blue-tinted water and an eye dropper to slowly add water to the shaving cream "cloud." After a few minutes, the "clouds" collected enough water that "rain" fell from the clouds!
