The adventure continued with an exploration of the Tower of London followed by lunch along the Queen’s Walk. The afternoon brought a variety of museums including The Victoria and Albert, the Science Museum, and the Natural History Museum, along with a walk down Brompton Road to visit Harrods all decked out for Christmas. After a quick dinner of noodles, the group headed to the Vaudeville Theatre to enjoy Six the Musical. That was just Day Three! Day Four took us to the countryside of Wiltshire to visit our third UNESCO World Heritage Site of the tour, Stonehenge, where we took our history experience back to 3000 B.C. Lunch was in Salisbury followed by a visit to the medieval Salisbury Cathedral, built in Early English Gothic style with the highest spire in Britain at 404 feet, known for its frieze work but even moreso for having one of only four surviving copies of the Magna Carta, which everyone was able to see. The group then crossed over into Wales to have a festive Thanksgiving Dinner together at a local carvery where we enjoyed gammon in addition to turkey and of course Yorkshire Pudding.
