Seniors from the Zoology classes competed in the 24th Annual Coastal Birding Challenge on Georgia's Golden Isles. Over the long weekend, student teams searched from dawn to dusk to find as many bird species as they could. Hiking through maritime forests, tidal marshes, freshwater wetlands, and beaches, our fledgling ornithologists discovered nearly 100 species of birds... and lots of alligators!
