The annual Friendship Feast is a traditional culminating event for third-graders after completing a cross-curricular unit of study about the first Thanksgiving. Students read the biography "Squanto: Friend of the Pilgrims," made placemats in art, completed thankful writing in literacy classes and filmed a slideshow with Ms. McDermott. A poem titled "Thanksgiving at Plymouth" was recited by the students during the opening presentation.
