Coach Guth gave us a southern meal from the heart. He organized three stations celebrating food that speaks to his life lived in Alabama and Georgia. One station celebrated southern seafood featuring fried catfish and shrimp and grits. Another station celebrated his love of bbq with pulled pork and Brunswick stew. The last station gave a feel of meat and three featuring fried chicken, greens, butterbeans, and cast-iron skillet cornbread. It was all wrapped up with some banana pudding. A great meal from a great family. Thanks Coach Guth and Mrs. Guth!!!
There is something special about having an opportunity to discuss and enjoy a shared reading experience with someone we care about and admire. We are drawn to books for different reasons, but a primary one comes via the recommendations by those we respect.
Virginia (Johnson) Guth (’79) has returned to Darlington School to serve as first-grade teaching assistant and extended care coordinator. She has over 30 years of experience in the classroom and is married to Eddie Guth, Darlington's new athletic director.
Caitlin (Bell) Alexander will join the Darlington Community as first-grade teacher, effective Aug. 1. Originally from England, she began working as a substitute teacher for grades ELA-2 in January and, most recently, served as a long-term substitute in fourth grade.
