Teachers surprised students in grades 3-5 with their annual "Snow Day" on Feb. 9 as part of the exploratory program. Centered around the Winter Olympics, this year's Snow Day included a STEM activity to build and race tin foil skiers, creating 3D snowflakes in art, Olympics trivia, and more. There was also a curling activity and lesson from guest speaker Dr. Dixon Freeman: a local physician and founding member of the Atlanta Curling Club who has served as the group’s representative to the Grand National Curling Club and USA Curling.
