Brie Mauer ’18

Learning Specialist, Middle Grades

Brie has served as a Middle Grades Learning Specialist since 2024. Brie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of Tennessee, where she focused on Deaf Education and Sign Language Interpreting. Prior to joining Darlington, she served as the Assistant Director at the Gordon County Child Advocacy and Sexual Assault Center and worked as a Forensic Interviewer and Child and Family Advocate at Harbor House NWGA Child Advocacy Center. Brie is passionate about supporting children with diverse learning needs and brings a wealth of experience in advocacy and education to her role. She is married to Nick Mauer ‘18.

Darlington’s fine arts department will present “The Addams Family: A New Musical” Feb. 16-18 at the Rome City Auditorium. Doors will open Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m., with showtime at 7:30 p.m. The Sunday matinee begins at 2:30 p.m., after doors open at 2 p.m.

Darlington’s fine arts department will present Francis Swann’s “Out of the Frying Pan” at the Zelle Black Box Theatre, Oct. 27-29. Evening performances of this year’s fall play will take the stage Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. A matinee performance will be offered Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
