We know that students accomplish great things when curiosity is paired with the opportunity to explore. That’s why Darlington created a pathway for seniors to take a deep dive into a topic of their choosing and/or solve a real-world problem in a meaningful way.

Senior Ventures is a year-long academic program built on a framework of leadership, innovation and community engagement. Through a proven self-guided exploratory process, seniors whose proposals are selected for this program work independently to develop a project that’s interdisciplinary in scope and is connective, performance-based, investigative, or entrepreneurial.

What is the value of participating in Senior Ventures?

• The design-thinking process is put into action and participants have a unique opportunity to tangibly demonstrate their commitment to skill development, project management, and deep experiential learning.
• Participants are matched with mentors who guide them through the process, fostering effective communication skills and providing real-life experience in a field of their choosing.
• By developing blogs, podcasts, community events, or lectures, participants share with our school community the skills and knowledge they have gained, fostering a culture of collaboration and curiosity.
