Let’s get to know Ansel Enverga, a four-year day student from Rockmart, Ga., who serves as president of the Dar Tech Team and member of the DarBots robotics team.

The Darlington Players: Jeff in “The Curious Savage” and Buttons in “Newsies,” Concert Choir, Robotics, president of Dar Tech Team, Random Notes a cappella group, Science Volunteering Club, Darlington Asian Student Union
What's your favorite place on campus and why?
My favorite place on campus is the choir room because I feel like I’m able to express myself there socially while chilling on the couches. The library is a close second since I need some quiet time for myself to do my schoolwork.
Who's your favorite teacher and why?
My favorite teacher at Darlington is Mr. Kinney. He has always made me and the people around me feel included during Robotics and made me want to pursue STEM in the future!
What’s your favorite thing about Darlington?
My favorite thing about Darlington has to be the diversity. I’ve learned so much from different people from their different backgrounds and experiences, and you wouldn’t find that anywhere else in Rome.
Describe an experience that you've had at Darlington that you couldn't have had anywhere else.
RUMPUS has to be one of my favorite events/experiences at Darlington that I definitely wouldn’t have had anywhere else. It’s something that not only is a ton of fun, but also brings people together in the school, both day and dorm students.
What are some of the ways you've grown since you first came to Darlington?
I’ve grown to go out and try new things since I’ve first came to Darlington. This year, I took the initiative to try out theater, and I loved it! I’ve also learned essential life skills like time management, which will help me immensely in the future.
What is your dream job?
I’d like to land a top engineering role at NASA, working on landing people on Mars!
