Community Service

Changing lives. Building character.

Your Darlington experience is not just about what happens to you through the twelfth grade. The lessons you learn during your time on campus will impact not only your character, but the choices you make in college and beyond.
As a school, we care deeply about this character and these choices, so as a part of our Community Service Program, students in grades 9-12 volunteer each week with a variety of local organizations. Every Upper School student is required to complete 15 hours of service to the community each school year, and the best part is – they enjoy it!

4,414 hours completed in 2024-2025

A few of the many organizations that have benefited from Darlington’s Community Service Program include:

  • Blood Assurance
  • Boys & Girls Clubs of Northwest Georgia
  • Cancer Navigators
  • Floyd County Special Olympics
  • McHenry Primary
  • New Beginnings Community Brunch
  • Open Door Children's Home
  • Rome Action Ministries
  • Rome Little Theater
  • Hospitality House
